Yes I know exactly what you mean. I had not bought a new gun in years, hadn't even shot the ones I had. Then about a year ago my son gets me to go to the range with him. That got me started I have bought 12 guns in this last year. And I don't know how much ammo, holsters, extra mags, and a bunch of other gear. I just don't seem able to even go into any store and not look for something to go along with shooting. And I think my wife wanted me out of the kitchen for gun cleaning. We have a small room that we really don't use for anything, she put me a drop leaf table, cabinets, and better lighting so I could clean and work on them better.

Now thats a good woman. My wife was watching me grab some cash out of the safe this morning......... she rolled her eyes ...... she knew. I have a 4 year old daughter though so extra cash is hard to come by. Im thinkig that buying another one today would not be in my best interest

    Poor soul!
Time has a way of reducing the urges, but it still is not a cure.

I've had times where I missed the thrill of buying something firearms related.
(Then I think of Obama, Pelosi, and others, and wonder what they may be scheming. Brings me back to reality.)

Its almost like a high. Buy a new firearm and take it home, tear it down, clean it and inspect it! !!

It's a disease known as "Gun Fever". A very rare with unique side effects. The only disease known that can save your life rather than end it.

Sign of a true addict- when I walk into local gun shop, they hand me the ring of keys to the locks on the gun racks!

If I ever get rich, they'll see me backing a rented truck up to the loading dock...

Getting new guns and stuff is a thrill for sure. I decided I am going directly into the range and not buying anything except ammo until I am completely proficient with all my hand guns. For me, that is center mass on double tap over and over and over again at 10 yards. Glock 19...check, 38 spcl...check, SR22 plinker...check, SP101 357....work to do. My Ruger LCP's...,Let's just say it's gonna be a while.

Tell me about it. I shot my lc9 and mk3 and the lc9 is tough to keep in a 4" group at 7 yds. The mk3 is easy

If you really want help, maybe stop walking into gun stores? Face it you are addicted, it's like a fat kid going into a candy store.

Next time you want to go to a gun store, watch some porn, you will forget all about it, then again, maybe you will watch the porn and then go to the gun store?

I know that kids come first that's why I had gone for about 25 years with very little additions to the collection. I did buy ammo and hunting gear but I justified that by putting deer meat on the table. Now thanks to Gods many blessings my kids are grown, home is paid for, got the best paying job I have ever had.
