The world, hunting, and your firearm collection would change? Im talking t-rex's in the jungles, velociraptor's and utahraptor's in the woods, all that. I for one am not sure how someone could even kill a T-rex, shoot it in the eye? lol

Not sure we would be around to talk about how to hunt them, BUT the more mass of the bullet the better chance to take one down. I would want an Abrams tank for the hunt, but that might not be too fair for hunting, survival yes, hunting no.

A 50 BMG would be my gun of choice, the 50 mm will carry enough energy and mass to do the necessary damage.

See I would think that if you miss with the tank it would get mad and flip it over, then what? Im watching jurassic park right now and even though its a movie, the size of the prehistoric animals is insane.

A 50 BMG will do you no good with the smaller, much faster predators that hunt in packs.

Not likely, the mass of the tank is more than the mass of the T-Rex, besides, in addition to the 120 mm main gun there are remote controlled 50's and 30's available.

Like I said, not a fair fight, besides the reactive armor would blow off the T-Rex's teeth and really mess up it's head or tail depending on what it used.

    Jim

I need to take my 30-06 with then. Once one goes down, they will be too busy eating it than think about me.

I beg to differ. The .22 has more kills to it's credit than anything in the galaxy. (green)

I'm fairly confident that everyone would be armed. :)

I just can't get the "Jaws" quote, "We're gonna need a bigger boat." out of my head, lol. If the Libs rule in the future the T-Rex's would probably be protected anyway...

T-Rex had a skull kind of like an Elephant, honey combed and fairly weak.

Most of it's bones were also hollow to compensate for it's immense weight.

A standard rifle round like .308 or .30-06 would probably work, but I would rather have a .404 Jeffery with solids just in case, that would be universal against almost anything.

Yep. I think an AR-10 (.308) would be a perfect rifle in this situation. You can take out the single big ones, or packs of smaller ones.

The reptiles I had to eat had a sweet taste to me. Sort of like frog. The only thing I ever ate that tasted like chicken...was chicken.
