Won a "Beavertail" grip safety off Ebay for about the price of postage-
Thing is i would'nt really call it a Beavertail - Semi Beaver maybe?
For the life of me i cant recall ever seeing one like it-
Anybody know what it mite have came off or is it just a aftermarket thing?
BTW- perfect drop in, works perfect & feels good (I've stated before i'm not a fan of all the little hammer, big safety, holey trigger stuff on 1911's) but i mite just leave it on

Take a look at the Delta Elite from Colt. That is what Colt uses for those with the round "Commander" hammer.

No it is not aftermarket, but left over.

That looks like a RIA pistol you have it on, it has the little notch or scoop on it so you can use a combat hammer with it. it is not a Beavertail grip.it may be elongated.

That is the type Colt uses on its Commander models as the notch provides clearance for the ring hammer...
