ID needed on this pistol

    Approx 9mm,made from solid good quality steel,s/n 8833xx,with previous owner over 55 years,never known to have been fired, 2 wheat stalks in large V shape in front of rear sight, no other markings.Kestral

    Some type of Japanese Nambu is my best guess.

    Looks like a Japanese weapon....sort of?

    Actually looks like a copy of a Nambu, but the wheat markings sound authentic.

    Looks like a Japanese design, what calibre of 9mm is it, could it be 8mm Nambu?

    It looks like a viet cong home made from jap nambu parts and part home made.:rolleyes:

    That from what we know is a fair assumption, what about calibre? I would venture if that was the case the calibre might well be 7.62 mm (Type P).

    The North Vietnamese rebarrelled French 9mm Mat 49's for this round being Soviet so I guess they had a lot of it. Plenty of Vet's here with a lot more insight than I...:)
