Since the weather has been crappy around here the last week and I've had to work in the rain & mud the last few days,I decided to just stay indoors today and tinker on some things.

I have had a stripped DPMS lower just setting in the safe and the rest of the parts were setting on a shelf so after I put my new scope on my Buckmark rifle I decided to put the lower together.

I had bought a RRA lower parts kit w/2 stage NM trigger,a Hogue grip,an ACE skeleton stock, and a Magpul winter trigger guard. I already have another lower setup just like this with a Model 1 Sales upper and like the way it handles & feels, but I wanted this one to be a little unique,so awhile back I had bought a nice piece of black leather and wanted to try and make a wrap for the ACE stock.

I think it turned out pretty good. What do you guy's think?

Looks good all done up with upper on there Tx. Definitely a unique idea you got there, but I can see it catching on. ;)

That looks really sharp. Makes me think about how neat that would be with a piece of contrasting leather.
I have a piece of buckskin that would probably be big enough to do that.
Do you mind if I copy ya (kinda)?

Knock yourself out Gus556,It wouldn't bother me one bit if you made your own.
All I did was take a piece of cardboard and traced the outline of the stock, cut it out,and traced it onto the leather.I just added about 1/2" to the top of the stensil and flipped it over and cut the leather. Then I used a hole punch for the holes and some suede lacing to tie it together.

I'm thinking about using some Ostrich or Gator on my other one and covering the front tube also. Hell,it might start a trend " Designer Firearms" LOL

I could probably sell'em to all the snobs at the Dallas Safari Club.

Im pretty handy with leather. I made my own buckskin coat and hunting chaps. I still have a couple hides waiting to be turned into something cool.
