Whatca all think for $550 please help
It's in 30-06 top in 1st pic
I'd do it. I bought a new one in .308 with a synthetic stock and no scope -paid close to $700
That looks like an older BDL model. I would pull the trigger on that any day of the week for $550. Looks to be in real good shape for its age.
Also with win 7 there is a nifty tool call Snipping Tool. This is a tool you can use to take screen shots so you don't get all the lines from the monitor refresh rate.
Click All Programs
Then look for the scissors that say Snipping tool.
I have one in 7mm x 08 that I bought about 8 years ago that I paid $400.00 for. Love it. Don't know what they are going for today.
If you want to get it, you have my go ahead.
Let your wife know that it is a classic.
Nothing wrong with 30-06. Good enough to win wars.
While I see the monte carlo stock, I didn't see the BDL floorplate.
NRA's American Rifleman had a great article on them and noted the models and model changes over the years.
Some like oiled stock. Some like the lacquer. I like them both.
Join the NRA (if you haven't) and enjoy articles like this.

looks like the BDL because of the ebony fore end tip, possibly.
looks decent, but i would see about maybe going about $450 if possible.
also if you do buy it, get rid of the crappy see through rings and get some quality steel rings.
Hey, those ring just belong on that gun.
He is buying an 'era' That would be like removing the pink bathroom tile from a 1950's Desert Bungalow.
well you can bet your last dollar, that pink bathroom tile would be gone very rapidly if it was my house!
i just really hate those see through rings!
Ok, how about refinishing a collector gun. That's how I view it.
Regarding the pink tile. YOU TAKE THAT BACK... they were beautiful and classic.
Now for something off topic.
Haha this guy ^^^
