Had a Marlin 30-30 and sold it a while ago. I missed having a lever action so I scooped up a CT made Marlin 1894 Cowboy Limited in .44 Mag about a year ago. My dad ended up with it and recently I realized I needed another.

This brings us to last week. Found a Henry Big Boy in .44 Mag and had to grab it. Then today, my .357 Mag arrived and while at the shop decided I needed a .22. It never ends!

    I'm a happy camper!

Those are cool. Have you found ammo for them to shoot yet?

I've been hitting any shop and Walmart I could. Luckily .44 Mag isn't something most people have so I've found a box here and there. Same thing with .38 Special. I don't have any .357 though.

If you are going to feed that family of lever guns, start reloading.:)

I am so jealous :p This is my first and only lever gun to date, a .22 GB. Like malaria, one skeeter is all it takes, lol.

I'm wondering if a .357 lever gun would be a big enough caliber for a close-in brush gun for deer? Say, 50-75 yards out?

I know in certain places they have pistol season. Correct me if I'm wrong but I think the 357 is the smallest round you can hunt with a deer in pistol

From what I read .357 within a 100 yards for deer is fine, but I don't hunt so don't take my word for it.

It is best not to go without a lever or two .. .. but it looks like absence made the count go longer

    I love lever guns!

I have two Winchester 94's, one made in 1898, one in 1956, both 30-30, a Marlin large loop 30-30, and I just purchased these two 22 Henry's.

I watch a couple of the Rifleman TV shows on you tube daily, almost through them. Started on Dead or Alive this week because I purchased the Mares Leg. That may be one of my favorite ones because it is so odd and skirts the NFA for some reason. If the feds are dumb enough to classify that as a pistol and not a short barrel rifle with a stump stock, I am happy not to send them the $200.

Beautiful guns jamesb! I like the "tactical" stuff, but I also love the traditional guns with wood and blued steel. Only got a .22 Henry at the moment, but would like to add atleast a 45-70 Marlin to my gun safe.

Levers are great, especially the old ones.

There is a pretty good article on the Winchester Model 94 in the current issue of Shooting Times. Check it out.

Nice man! That looks like it is the 16" carbine. I had the option of that one or the 18" that I got. I liked the longer barrel, mainly just for the extra rounds the tube held.
