Hi guys, I have a Remington 700 bdl .308 varmint with a boyds stock and a cabelas tactical scope that was around 500 bucks. I have around 1200 in the gun with everything and it is less than two months old I posted it on a buy sell or trade group and I had a guy offer to trade me a huldra mark 4 ar15 that he says has been shot around 250 times chambered in .223, not really an ar15 guy but I want something lighter than the heavy .308 I have because I have been having a lot of back problems lately. What do you guys think of this trade it would be straight up let me know what you think, here are some pics of both guns. Thanks.

Keep your Remington. Sell it for cash to buy a more desirable AR15.

I would also sell the Remington and buy what you wanted. You will never get what you have in it, but you will actually be satisfied with what you end up with rather than just trading for whatever.

IMO. if you are not an AR type of guy, then you probably won't be happy with the trade. best to pass and either sell the Remington outright and buy something that appeals to you or wait for a trade that is more in line with what you do want.

a good trade is one where both parties leave happy with the trade they made.

A good trade or deal is when both walk away smiling and continue smiling.

I do not trade firearms. I may sell one once in a while.

My experience is that you get $crewed on a trade.

Just trade your .308 in for a caliber that kicks less. My local Walmart (kendallville, Indiana) has a remington 700 Bdl in .243 for around $700. It has a high-gloss hardwood stock with a grip cap, black fore-end cap and rifle sights.

Why?? What has recoil to do with the trade?? I'll trade him a tiger striped M60 Marlin. I had major Neck surgery some years back. .308 is still a ***** cat. I thought I would have to hunt/ shoot mouse guns. I was wrong. I want bigger thumpers again. 9.3x62 is next.
