So I bought a box of 50 federal 9mm rounds. And one of the bullets is defiantly not safe to fire out of my pistol. The bullet is pushed into the casing so far its almost like the bullet is half its normal length. Should I call federal about it? Or is that not worth my time? Or what should I do with it? It's kinda hard to tell from the picture but its really pushed in far. Any advice?

Bring the entire box back. Likely more with issues. Probably just a bad batch.

contact federal. ammo companies other than remington typically replace the box. remington just blames the customer...

Didn't realize it was from Walmart. Yes contact the manufacturer. Although depending on where you are shipping may be an issue.

I don't waste my time on one cartridge; I have 49 others to deal with.
I throw at least $5.00 away on junk each day, $.36 is not going to stress me.

One round out of 50 isn't worth the phone call, but for sake of the manufacturer's quality control I'd call them. I imagine they'll appreciate it.

If you contact Ferderal they might send you a couple of free boxes and only ask for that one round back. It's worth a shot.

Good thing you saw the difference before firing. I'd forget about the one and shoot the other 49.

This is why I get the plastic bins and put them all in my own case. I've known guys who have gotten a box of ammo and one round was a different caliber. One guy ended up getting a free hundred round box and only sent back the one wrong round.
