Just wondering if someone could help me out by posting some pics of the "j" end of the key. Thanks.
Why don't you just buy one, or a regular safety. They're only about $3.
Can the safety be changed out with the iss lock engaged? I don't have a receipt to send in to Remington. Unless theres another place to get them from I was just going to make one.
Yes it can be changed out, but it is easier to go to a gun store and get them to unlock it for you first.
No one has a picture of what the end of this key looks like?
is it your shotgun or your dad's??
Hope this helps - this came with a Remington 597, but I understand that one key fits all.... tough thing to photo.....
Nah, you just need a tripod & to get back further
Thanks for going through the trouble. I need the detail of the tip mostly though. Is the J tip notched?
Fair question really - are you supposed to be unlocking this shotgun?
Definitely not contributing to this one.
Grabbing a bowl of popcorn and watching though...
It's my gun. I just messed up and locked it.
If anyone could help. I'd like to go shoot it soon. Thanks.
Bring it into any shop that carries Remington and I'll bet they'll unlock it for you quick. Or, call Remington and have them send you a key.
Two simple solutions for you...
I gotta ask.... what is that thing on the muzzle? And to think, I thought PolyChokes were bad.
WOW that is the single most tactical shotgun I have ever seen. Man post up some more pics of that bad boy.
What I did was unlock it and toss that SOB in the trash. There is no need to even have that stupid idiotic J lock crap on a gun. Of course I changed out the firing pin on my 700 to rid my self of that Lawyerfied craptastic junk.
It makes it have the recoil of a BB gun.
