Other than Hoppes I love the smell of fresh cut grass.
Freshly plowed field ready for planting... the rhododendrons when in bloom in the North Carolina highcountry.... my Momma's lamb stew... my wife's seafood stirfry ... and my Mother-In-Law's lasagna !!!! Mmmmmmmmm
Diesel fumes. Burnt powder. Fried chicken.
Trip... Diesel and gear oil... Exhaust from a carbureted engine... Body filler...
The sent of a woman , smell of fall leaves , hardwoods on the fire place , good cow-parts on the grill , the energy of mountain streams and the smell of wild flowers in the spring..!
Burning rubber, a rich carbed v8, burnt powder, g96, Hoppes, fresh cut grass, summer thunderstorns, mountain air (Appalachia) kerosene lanterns, the river air, my red sauce, my wife and daughter, a horse barn and cow pasture, old tractors..... The list goes on. Fresh peaches, pine trees, fresh cut wood, a chainsaw running, beer, a fine bourbon.
Fresh clean laundry, fresh bread, curry powder (strange I know), food cooking in the kitchen, my husband's skin, spearmint/eucalyptus lotion, and oils that I burn to name a few.....
Napalm in the morning?
Gasoline. Beer. Pencil shavings. Freshly painted canvas. Bonding putty. Rain. Cut grass. The usual foods and obvious sh!te.
Wd-40. Autumn. Fresh pie. Chocolate. Pipe smoke. Unburnt tobacco. That pie. Butter rum. Vanilla. Campfires. Garlic bread. And yes, hoppes.
You, cotton fields, and the big muddy. Yes, I know the Mississippi river is dirty, filthy, nasty, and God only knows what industrial chemicals have been dumped into it over the years, and probably still are to an extent, but the parties on the riverbanks in my youth... That smell always makes me feel at home.
The smell of any pace just vacated by Liberal Democrats.

Bacon frying, my wife after her shower,,the wind off of the sea,,
The smell that comes out of a spam can of 7.62x54 when first opened!!
My nana's homemade apple pie, frog lube, and my favorite first spring rain.
Freshly cut wood, freshly brewed coffee, a major league ball park, the house on Thanksgiving, Chanel #5.
