I have been looking at some W.W.II surplus rifles.in the description it has the letters C+R in it. What does that stand for?

Curio & Relic.
There is a type of FFL that lets you buy and sell "old" guns. The BATF maintains a list of "Curio & Relic" guns holders of this license can buy and sell. The regulations are not as stringent for these type of firearms. The license used to be cheaper too.
