    I am now a Glock owner:eek:
It's a Gen 2 G17 9mm, one that was apparently used by security at the 1996 Olympics in Atlanta. On the right side of the slide is engraved "Security Team Atlanta, GA 1996".
Why did I decide on Glock? Well, mostly because I got a good price on it, by good price I mean my boss offered me this pistol in lieu of cash after the bank refused to cash my paycheck, ( it would appear the business isn't doing too well).
That's ok though, while most glocks don't feel good to me, this full size gen 2 feels great in my hand and I think the whole security team thing is pretty neat, plus it doesn't appear to have been shot much at all.

Now I just need to buy some standard capacity mags instead of the 10rd Bill Clinton mag it came with and put some rounds through her.

Pics and range report will come as soon as possible.

General_lee: Sir? for the paycheck. wow weeee. As far as being ashamed to have a Glock lolol; I have a couple and will have a couple of more in time.

Good :) with pictures. I haven't seen the "Security Team Atlanta, GA 1996"
nor did I know that they did this:)

After seeing what they go for on gunbroker, I really think I got a good deal considering they go for almost twice what my check would have been:eek:

Here's a link to one that's on gunbroker right now.
    Glock 17 FS 1996 Olypmics Atlanta Security Team : Semi-auto at GunBroker.com
Mine did come with the same wooden case you will see, but my co-worker wanted it, so I let him have it because I wasn't going to use it.

Maybe a collector's item someday? Does it have that "never fired and only dropped once" look? ;)

I would much rather have a semi-historical Glock than a bouncing paycheck.

It looks like it might have had a couple of mags shot through it, but that's about it, it's very clean.
