I have a a problem first I wanted to buy a Colt 1911 .45 but I already have a .45. An XDM .45 which I love. I went to my gun shop yesterday and I was looking around and I need a gun where I can shoot more because as we all know 45 Caliber Ammo is not cheap. So I have a little dilemma. I looked at the Glock 19 Gen 4 sweet gun and I also like the M&P9 and the M&P 9 pro. Now since I have an XDM and I like Springfield maybe I should get an XD9. All these guns to choose from. Should even get a 9mm some people say get a .40 its not much more for the ammo.

For cheap ammo 9mm is the only way to go.

    No I will wait to get a 1911. I believe a 1911 should be a .45

    Why? That's just silly talk!

On second thought, buy the Glock so there's one less out there for us to see in the shops. ;)

Instead of a new gun, buy a reloading setup with some .45 dies.
    Ammo cost issue sorted.

I personally would stay away from the XD or XDM until they solve the problem of the breaking striker retaining roll pin. It this is just a range toy OK, but this is not a handgun I would bet my life on. If the pin breaks the gun will not fire. Houston Police have removed these guns from service.

I narrowed it down to 2 the M&P and the Glock. I like S&W and its made in America. I have two weeks to decide.

You might look at the Ruger SR9 and SR9c.

Well, both of these [M&P9] are good, solid, dependable [M&P9] guns. Both have lots of options [M&P9] for accessories. Both have had a decent [M&P9] amount of time in the real-world for longevity evaluations. Both are made by companies [M&P9] with good reputations. Now one of them is made in America, by an American [M&P9] company, so that's how I made my decision between these two products. But don't let my reasoning [M&P9] influence you. And honestly I am [M&P9] not trying to sway you one way or the other with [M&P9] subliminal messages or anything like that at all. Either one is a solid [M&P9] choice that will serve [M&P9] you well I'm [M&P9] sure.

It shoots great until the pin breaks, with no warning, then it doesn't shoot at all. So be warned.

    Did you own one?
I never heard about this happening. Maybe they fixed the problem because I have shot at least 600 rounds already without any problems.

    Hi Power

Get a Browning Hi Power 9mm.

As CA357 says, the Hi Power is the king of 9's.

When has it been a problem to have 2 45's? Or 3 or 4 or...
