MOST OUTRAGEOUS STATEMENT EVER MADE BY AN AMERICAN PRESIDENT – Sat. March 6th.
Bad press, including major mockery of the plan by comedian Jon Stewart, led to President Obama abandoning his proposal to require veterans carry private health insurance to cover the estimated $540 million annual cost to the federal government of treatment for injuries to military personnel received during their tours on active duty. The President admitted that he was puzzled by the magnitude of the opposition to his proposal.

"Look, it's an all volunteer force," Obama complained. "Nobody made these guys go to war. They had to have known and accepted the risks. Now they whine about bearing the costs of their choice? It doesn't compute."
"I thought these were people who were proud to sacrifice for their country," Obama continued. "I wasn't asking for blood, just money. With the country facing the worst financial crisis in its history, I'd have thought that the patriotic thing to do would be to try to help reduce the nation's deficit. I guess I underestimated the selfishness of some of my fellow Americans."
How in the world did a person with this mindset become our leader?
Please pass this on to every one including every vet and their families whom you know.
REMEMBER THIS STATEMENT... "Nobody made these guys go to war.
They had to have known and accepted the risks. Now they whine about bearing the costs of their choice?"

If he thinks he will ever get another vote from an Active Duty, Reserve, National Guard service member or veteran of a military service he ought to think it over...
If you or a family member is or has served their country, please pass this to them.
    _________
So he thinks vets should pay for their own health care but the rest of us should pay for deadbeat illegal immigrants on welfare.

I agree that the guy is a first class toolshed, but let's stick to the facts here. FTF is NOT about spreading false statements.

snopes.com: Barack Obama on Veterans' Health Insurance

Yes, he and his administrastion did propose some VERY stupid legislation that would have billed private medical costs for such things as amputations, post traumatic stress disorder ( PTSD ) & other combat related injuries.

He never stated the words attributed to him above and when Veteran's Organizations told him their support would wain, the whole administration backed away from the proposal....

Let's hate the guy for all the right reasons here folks...

H.R.4887 - TRICARE Affirmation Act (Update)

To all Military Active Duty, Guard, Reserve, and Retiree's.

When the Healthcare bill was passed it was missing the information that Tricare meets the mininal coverage as required by the healthcare bill.

The House and the Senate passed a new bill:

    H.R.4887 - TRICARE Affirmation Act

    H.R.4887: TRICARE Affirmation Act - U.S. Congress - OpenCongress

To amend the Internal Revenue Code of 1986 to ensure that health coverage provided by the Department of Defense is treated as minimal essential coverage.

It was introduced 19 March 2010
It passed the House 20 March 2010
It passed the Senate 12 April 2010
It has not been signed by the President as of today 26 April 2010 - 14 days after passage.

I can't help but laugh when I see Republicans repeating the same rhetoric the democrats used durring the Bush administration. I find it hard to believe that people who are so patriotic and confident in their country believe it is so fragile that one president will ruin it simply because they have a different philosophy on the role/size of government. Besides, you can't blame Obama and his administration alone for the economy being the way it is. Last time I checked, he inherited this mess.

I'm not saying that you guys are wrong in your political philosophies, but there's just no reason to involve these ad hominem attitudes in the mix. I can assure you, it's not good for anything except venting. Where has the rationale and mutual respect gone? Rising above the typical politcs and being "the better man" will earn more respect and votes than letting your Sarah Palin's and Michelle Bachmann's do your talking for you.

Do you really think Sarah Palin could be any worse than this guy? I think she would make a poor president, but don't see how we could be worse off than with an ***-hat that offends or shines on all of our current (former?) allies and shines up to butt-plugs like Yugo Chavez and bows to every other tin-pot dictator he bumps into.

    What the hell?! :eek::mad:

    Palin was running as VP.

McCain was running for POTUS and he hasn't dropped dead yet, inspite of NOT having the POTUS resources for the best medical care anywhere.

Obama will go down as the worst president EVER elected. He is the single greatest example of why the electoral college is no longer viable.

We have an administration full of criminals and people who have no more business holding the positions they have been granted than the Man in the Moon.

The sooner we get to the next election, the better it will be for everyone.

Oh Zack....so misguided or ever so naive. This (unfortunate) president can and probably will do more damage to this country in one term than any other person or event in history.

Obama is dedicated to implementing his vision of "change". That "change" is to trash the US Constitution, and to convert America into a weak socialist nanny state. His "change" is designed to destroy the fundamentals that made this country rich and powerful. He intends to re-distribute the wealth of hard working Americans to support the welfare class.

On the ecnomy, the fact that Bush 44 started this mess with over-spending is no excuse for the insane spending programs that the unholy trinity of Obama, Reid and Pelousy have initiated over the past 15 months. No one could have designed a better program to destroy this country's future than they have done.

Being the "better man" does involve protesting this Quisling, and fighting him every step of the way. The socialist left does not care about respect, they only care about keeping the power and implementing their agendas. Palin and Bachmann do a damn good job of speaking for me!

    Bingo!!!

Obama is a blithering idiot, no doubt about that. However, there are enough legitimate issues to go after Obama on without making up bald faced lies like this one.

Everyone appreciates your service, hell, I've got 11 pieced of Govt. metal in my back thanks to a malfunctioning Black Hawk but holding DAV status does not eleviate our responsibility to share factual information. If your getting your news from John Stewart, well, share it with pasion at your own peril. Stewart is a satirist and makes a living taking comment and positions well beyond what was actually said.

Also, I'm glad McCain lost. This man is no friend to conservatives or gun owners. He's a libral as BO on many positions and would have taken us to the same place, just maybee a tad slower. When Republicans GO Democrat lite, they need to loose our support and get TROUNCED in an election. The last 2 cycles should be enought to bring many of them back to social and economic conservative principals. Personally, I hope McCain looses his Senate seat this fall. He's got stiff competition from an MORE conservative republican in the AZ primary.
