I set my Hungarian AMD-65 for close up work using my EOTech.553.
Awesome but what happens if the EoTech craps out?
What range and how were you putting rounds on the target?
I am guessing you use the AMD as a club or run as fast as you are able. anyway I have had this 553 for years it has yet to fail.
Anything can fail correct?
25 yards as noted it's for close up work. It's my BIG AK pistol with a folding wire stock.
Putting rounds on the target by shooting the AMD-65 standing off hand.
That was funny.
I guess I missed where you said 25 yards, up close could mean a myriad of things. Rate of fire? All rounds at once or 2-3 from the hi or low ready having to quickly acquire the target each time? There's a lot more to it than simply saying "close up work".
Did you get past the third grade?
mj, I finally saw the 25 yards when I blew the picture up. It's in the corner. I just kept reading his text and didn't see it. Must be a Kansas thing.
Here is a better picture taken with my Canon 7D. It shows better detail.
So, are you going to answer my questions or just make insults ? Do you know the varying aspects to what you call "close up work"? What do you consider "close up work"?
Guess I am not answering you so what.
You don't have to be embarrassed as I'm not passing judgement. I'm just curious. I don't know much about AMDs and am wanting to get a better feel for how they handle/perform.
Standing there, taking aim, then slowly squeezing the trigger or standing at the high or low ready, snapping your dot onto the target placing 2-3 shot strings then repeating. There's a big difference b/w the 2.
I'm at a loss as to where your attitude is coming from.
I guess I am just someone who does not really care what people do understand or what they don't understand.
If you want to find out about the a AMD-65 just buy one, it's what I and many others have done.
So this was more of a show-and-tell, light on the tell, post?
I thought we were here to share information. If you want to have attitude that's your prerogative. I however am after information for the learning experience. Know the fashion in which you were shooting makes a huge difference in judging how the AMD performs.
I'm still interested so whenever you get the time I'm all ears.
I'm sure glad rifleshooter474 isn't typical of the members on here.
It really seems odd that he reacted the way he did to such a simple question that is very important to the topic at hand.
