Kinda lonely on here huh?... I've spent the most part of 40 years in and around Helena, now I'm I divide my time between MT and TX... My 93 year olde Mom live on the same property as I do, a family homestead...sorta...small but.. I'll be heading back north later this year..
Yes, it is sorta lonely here. I have also spent a lot of years around Helena. I live up near Rogers Pass (NW of Wolf Creek). Sorry I am a bit late on the posting.
So, does anybody compete?
Hello from Havre. But rased in Lewistown and Landusky .I have traveled most of the state except the Bitteroot area. Vetern US Navy Collector and hunter and reloaded.
MT is a great weapons collecting State and shooting competition State. There is a Weapons collector's gun show just about ever weekend of the year. There are numerous cowboy actions venues, long range black power and military high power shoots. Nearly every town has a trap and skeet range. If you are passing through, be sure and come and shoot with us.
Hello from the Flathead!
Hello from Worden, MT. Looking at buying some property around Lincoln, MT. I am a licensed gun dealer and an aspiring gunsmith. I also like to shoot competitively when I can.
I hope you have deep pockets if you are looking for property around Lincoln.
Hello from the Townsend area. I'm out on Canyon Ferry near Confederate Gulch. Hot lately, but so far not too bad today.
Hello from Bozeman. Way too many hippies, yuppies, Prius driving socialists, ex Californians and multi millionaries here, but for now the employment holds me here. Will move back to a smaller town just as soon as I can.
You could be talking about Kalispell, Whitefish..... its the same all over the state. I grew up on a dairy farm in Corvallis and Ravalli Co. is the same exact way.
Just damn sad......
Hello from he Bitterroot...................
Joined this site over 2 years ago but have only posted 7 times...........some unexpected " bumps in the road" side-tracked me for a while.....7th post was earlier today. Didnt' know this Montana Sub-Forum was her.....glad I found it.
Worked in the steel fabrication business for 40 years....traveling all over the Rky Mnt west, Canada and Alaska selling heavy fabrication projects. Found the Bitterroot in 1975---moved here in early 1980 from Colorado....built my own house on Fred Burr Creek in 1980----retired in Dec '93----widowed in 2005 after 51 years of marriage....have hunted since the age of 10 (1942);...and have handloaded since 1964. Taken my share of deer, elk, black bear, caribou, moose, wolf and my greatest achievement-----a Kodiak Brown Bear (at age 60) after a 4 hour stalk in November, (in a snow storm/up a mountain side from sea level to 1400 feet elevation.)
Will be 82 in April & have slowed down quite a bit-----the ole body ain't what it used to be!
My 7th post was earlier today asking about info re handloading for a Sig 45ACP.
Again, glad I found this Montana Sub Forum. These last 35 years living in Montana have been the greatest.........only wish I had been born here.
