I'm in Northeast Texas for the next couple of months, but I'm going back to Iraq for another tour.

Anyhow, my name is Jerry A. Goodson. I'm an instructor for a start-up company in Northeast Texas (Atlanta, Texas... about 25 miles south of Texarkana). We're still working on our course development for law enforcement/military classes, but we *SHOULD* start having them this summer. However, I'm attending more classes than I'm teaching at the moment.

I'm what most people regard as a "training junkie." I love attending courses as much as I love teaching 'em. I'm not your typical instructor, either... I don't project myself to be some kind of tactical bad-***. I teach courses so I can learn from my students as much as I'm there to share my knowlege and experience.

My life is pretty much an open book... I could type on and on about myself, but since this is only an "introduction", I'll stop right here

I started my own company, Tri-State Tactical. I'm still involved in the training company I helped start last year, but in addition to training students, I wanted to sell firearms, ammo, and tactical accessories.

With the help of my lovely wife and the owner of the training company (who is also my gunsmith), I now have an FFL and a Texas DPS Certified firing range. I got all of that while deployed here in Iraq, and I haven't actually set foot on my new range!! I have GOT to get back home!

Anybody in NE Texas/SW Arkansas wanna come out and shoot, eat, and get drunk (pretty much in that order)??

Welcome to the FT forum Hydrashok. And thank you and respect you for your ongoing service and sacrifice to this country. There are lots of great people here and lots of valuable information for the asking and your input will be a very valuable asset indeed. I, personally look forward to your posts and comments, as I too, learn from inquisitive participation and observation. It sounds like you will fit in just perfect around here and BTW, here in Oklahoma, we don't shoot, eat, and get drunk in that order, We eat, shoot, eat some more, shoot, than get drunk!

Oh no... we're outprocessing in El Paso. However, I have two very dear friends in Houston, and I visit often.
