I bought a bag of 44mag bullets at the gun show cheap and didn't really look to close at them...
When I got them home I realized all of them look like they where dropped in the dirt or something and have a nice layer of dirt on them! And I'm wondering if I can clean them or does it matter?

Try setting them on fire. That usually does the trick for me.

    Is it dirt or lubrication?

Many swaged bullets have a moly type lube that can look kind of clumpy and, well, dirty. Post a pic to let us help assess.

Some are tumbled in micro-fine mica so they don't stick to each other. This is fine to load as-is.
If dirt, you wipe them off with a rag. Or, you melt them all down and cast your own.
    Pictures would be nice.
