    Hi Everyone,

I picked up a new Ranch Rifle and am really enjoying it! Nice fun little shooter.
My question is now that I've run quite a few rounds through it and I'm used to shooting it and am getting consistent groups I'd like to adjust my rear sight slightly.

Is there a set formula - 1 full turn equals 1 inch or some such thing as there would be with a scope? This rifle is just a shooter for plinking and I'm planning on leaving it as it is and using the open sights.

    Thanks

Never mind, I found it. 1 full turn moves the group 5 inches @ 100 Yds. according to the manual.

I'll let you know how it turns out...

Did you get it at a decent price with all the madness?

I did, I had missed one on gunbroker awhile ago and started looking again after Newtown.

I was going to give up as prices were getting pretty insane until I found a nearby dealer with a model 5805 SS Synthetic Stock for $850. Couldn't be happier! What a great little gun.

I was able to get some new ruger 10 round clips from a guy in TN so life is good!

They are a lot of fun! Now if ammo prices would settle down to normal so we can keep having our fun, life would be great!

Wow, your not kidding brother! Seems like everything has just about gone crazy, I can't even find any 22LR for small game and plinking.

With all of this hysteria I think people are just buying everything they can find. And I guess you can't really blame them either...

I heard that. Picked up a brand new Tactical in private sale & paid thru the nose 4 it. Took me a week to gather up 1,000 rounds of ammo. Put on a foregrip & red dot sight. Heading out this afternoon for the maiden voyage.

Good luck, let us know it she shoots! I had to pay more than I expected to but I was able to get PMC .223 FMJ online so I'm good to go for awhile there.

What is the deal with .22 LR? That stuff is scarce as a Bigfoot sighting!

Going to take a bit of practice to dial it in, but it's a blast to shoot.

Wow, that's a pretty tricked out Mini!

I'm shooting 20 round basketball size groups at 100YDS with the open sights on my Ranch Rifle. Between my old eyes and the open sights that's about as good as I can hope for.

It's not really for precision bench shooting. I'm using it for fun targets like metal plates and such set into sand berms. I'm loving this little rifle!

Thanks man. They are a lot of fun. Now if we could just get ammo and at reasonable prices.

The ammo situation looks like its going to stay tight for awhile. People are just buying everything they can find.

It's too damn cold to do much shooting right now anyway. I'll be sticking with skiing for the next 6 or 7 weeks, and use the time to find deals when things start to free up.

I mostly shoot rimfire these days as it doesn't break the bank, but I can't find a bit of it around anywhere. That stuff is just gone!
