I used to go to each individual section I wanted to view but lately I have started using the "My Replies" button and then going to the "New Posts" afterwards.

As a Mod, I hit "New Posts" and I look at the heat rate of each response. It's indicated on the left hand side by the color of the envelope.

If it's warm or hot, I hit those threads first to see if there is anything to be worried about.

After that, I hit threads that interest me personally and try to add to them.

Uh, I do what JD just described, old habits die hard. :D

I look at the Introductions Thread to see if I missed a new member, occasionally.

I always look at "New Posts" first. Didn't realize there was a "heat" feature. Cool!

Learn something new everyday! I had no idea about the "heat" of a thread.

First thing I look at is black powder but there's not much traffic there. Then I just scroll down and see if there's anything of interest on top. If not I move on and come back later.

I have an app on my blackberry that uses the forums RSS feed, so I can just look at what's new so I get to see everything and if I want to comment on something I can just click the link that goes to that thread. Best way I've found since I usually view the forum on my phone, it real convenient to.

I always use the "new posts" button on each site that I visit. I then only open the posts that look interesting to me.

Huh. I learn something new every day. I always go to "New Posts" but I never really noticed those envelopes or if I did I ignored them because I didn't know what they meant. I will pay attention to them now, though.

I usually start with myCP & the subscribed threads, but after that it is usually a combo of the three.

First I do a search for Shihan thread and STAY THE HELL AWAY from them.

I start at the top and work my way down.

I start with PM's then stop in the hunting section then rifle then semiauto then pistol then General then the bunker.
