Condition one. I just ordered a clipdraw. Since there isnt proper trigger protection with that setup ill leave the chamber empty...hopefully i can rack the slide before the BG realizes im armed.

by the way OP. I didn't miss the humour (<= dang British Spelling again) of your poll question.

Really takes care of NewYork and the rest of us.

It sounds to me like the op is asking if we top off the mag after we rack the slide.

I always top off. I also always carry in condition 1.

I was thinking along the lines of
    IWB
    OWB
    Shoulder
    Appendix
    SOB
(or if I feel feisty, in my speedo's)

But I always have one in the chamber, full mag (that I know works), C&L.

Will carry my Para Expert in condition 1 once my CCH gets approved. Been carrying it around the house and while out working in the yard in almost a condition 3 state(chamber empty, hammer back & safety on) to see if I'd have any issues with bumping the safety or hammer. No issues and after a while don't even notice it's there (but it's in a OWB Fobus holster but think i'd like an IWB most likely a N82 Tactical Pro).

Forgot to add full mag also.

And a full mag for my 3" Ultra is only 7.
Yes, after stuffin' the pipe with the mag's round, I top off for fun and excitement.
More mags close at hand. 7 rounds. Thinkin' I should get the 50 round snail drum.

One in the chamber, 7 in the mag instead of 8.

My mags run great with 7 but not so good with 8, I need to get some new mags.
