    Sorry, but...

How do i know if the Glock 19 i just bought (out of stock) is a Gen 1,2, or 3, etc...?

I don't see anything in the receipt. I'm buying it at Turner's

If new, then chances are the latest generation (that is why it could be "out of stock"). Take a good look at what features it has compared to other model 19's.
How much are they asking for one?

Here in California, a Glock 17 or 19 is on "sale" for $499.

I just saw a pic of a 4th Gen Glock and i read the grip is different. It has that RTF (Rough Texture Finish). I think it's a 3rd Gen because I believe the 4th Gen is only available on the Glock 22.

    I could be wrong.

Try here for Gen 1-3: Glock pistol - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

    Basically:
Gen1: No finger grooves, no light rail.
    Gen2: Rougher texture on grip
Gen3: Finger grooves and a rail
Gen4: Improved grip texture, removable backstraps, different slide and recoil assembly design.

You most likely purchased a Gen3 if it was new.
