I'm glad you're enjoying the pics, that's what they're for!
Up to now I've done a stippling which is quite effective at making the grips "grippier". I will probably have more textures that I try out in the near future.
Here's a pic of a couple of older sets that have the stippling. The last pic is a set of ultra thins in Bubinga that went out a month ago or so.

Todays wood is Redwood Burl. Beautiful stuff with some great burl clusters that run through the meandering graining of the wood. Very light weight wood, it needs to be stablilized prior to use in pistol grips, but once that's done, it's great!

We have a photoshop king in our midst. You did a good job on those! I can barely figure out how to load my pictures here let alone combine them with stuff like that.

Today's material is camel bone. I usually mount camel bone to a wood "backer" for two reasons -
1) the camel bone is usually not wide enough on it's own to get a full grip width out of and needs the extra width the wood can provide
2) the resulting framed look is just uber cooll.
The backing wood can be a real nice detail and add to the overall package. A bloodwood frame over a black frame and under the cream color of the bone is very nice.
The set in this picture is camel bone over Afzelia Xylay and is cut for a magwell setup that the owner has. Just another cool thing to do with grips.

Okay, here's two sets of Buckeye burl that I just finished and were available for all of an hour. Beautiful stuff here. There was a third set, but it got snagged before I was even able to get a pic of them.

I've done Bird's Eye Maple in the past and have some right now that's pretty "eye" intensive.

Took me a minute to find the bird's eye maple pics.
Here are two different sets that I've done. I really thought the maple with the bubinga strip down the middle and mounted on bubinga was cool.

Today's pic is of some beatuful spalted Maple. Really cool stuff, although it needs to be stabilized before use in grips.

Todays pics are of the lateste mammoth tooth grips. These tooth slabs have a bluish green metallic color to them that I wish I could capture with the camera, but am not a good enough photographer to do so.
I put the tooth slabs in beeswing Narra for the color and I am glad that I did. I think the end product is just ubercool.
Anyway, enjoy the pics!

Today's pic is a tactical stipple pattern on a set of oiled Gabon Ebony grips. They were nice and "grippy" after the stippling.
