I decided a while back to build what I wanted in a AR based rifle this time. ordered most parts on sale just before and during black friday . Finally have all the parts in and finished it two days ago. Just getting a current picture loaded. Optics and folding sights are still up in the air for now.

    Parts list used

Aero Precision lower -stripped and upper with fa and dust cover installed

Basic lpk no trigger from psa

    RRA NM trigger group

A psa m16 mil spec bcg a basic changing handle thru amazon.

Free Blackhawk grip and A2 flash suppressor from a buddy

Del ton basic m4 mil spec stock kit with H buff

Criterion 16" mid length hybrid barrel with 223 wylde chamber and polished chrome bore

RRA TRO 11"free float tube, mini gas block and tube

And for now a 35 years old 2 3/4 power redfield scope in the photo

Raining here for a couple days so all I have had a chance to do is fire 10 rounds from the carport just to see if its working well. Nice to have it shoot with no problems .

The mid length gas system and heavier buffer sure makes for a smooth shooter compared to the m&p sport I had.

    hardluk,

Great Job! Nice Piece! I am assuming it is probably a 1:8 twist with the Wylde Chamber?
Send a range report when possible.

Sniper03 , Yes its a 1:8 twist with the wylde chamber. I picked that barrel only after bumping into a guy at the range testing a new AR he built.
He had the same Hybrid profile but a 20" barrel and it was shooting solid 1/2" 100 yard groups with some federal mk262 ammo . Up to that point I did not think a chrome bore could shot that well.

May not get any range time till next week. I do have an old burris 6-18 I may drop on it for that if I can find some better class of ammo. Only thing around here is 55gr 223 and some XM193

I have been looking at that barrel too. Let me know how it shoots and everything.

Sigma84 I got some range time this morning. No shooting out to even a 100 yards as the sun was died in my eyes and it was hard to see even at 25 yards. I was alone at the range so I turn sideways on the range 100 yard to the back corner of the 25 yard back stop and managed to get on target and fire 10 shoots for group at 82 yards. I try to get my wife to post a picture later . Group is still a bit low but 10 rounds fired rather quickly went right at 1" using a weaver 1.5-6 power scope. Atleast my new build works as it should and now I can mess with the trigger and take some pull weight out of it .

Got to the range to try it out and just get use to it fired 40 rounds. Could only shoot to 82 yards . I was the only person there and had to shoot across the range to keep the sunlight from shinning into the scope at a Forestry range. Try to get use to a heavy 5lb 2 stage trigger too. This is a quick fire 10 shoot group from a bench.
