Can someone explain cant on a holster. I don't know what it is or how to know what to adjust it to.

The can't is how it twists. Basically a holster is made to seat a gun at 90 degrees. Can't allows you to adjust the angle to make the draw more smooth and comfortable. A lot of holsters don't have adjustable cant. Look up your manufacturer and model and see what it says.

When you look at a holster as it's worn with the gun secured, you may notice the firearm tilted slightly forward. That is cant (it's also a lumberyard term. Discussion for another occasion).

By the way, welcome aboard! Please, stop by the intro section and tell us a bit about yourself! And stick around a bit, take your coat off and kick your feet up.

Thanks guys! It sounds like a holster with an adjustable cant is what I need!

think about it like the holster is a clock and the cant is the hour in which the firearm is placed into the holster...

    Boom, easy enough..
