Guys I need some help! Can't decide which is better, HK45 compact or HK USP 45 Compact???
Better for what?
For durability, performance and accuracy.
HK45 is a strictly US product. The full size were created for the Army testing, which went to the Baretta. HK decided to offer to US public. Never fired one living in Germany, but it did just fine during testing. It just was not a 9mm and was too expensive. Never heard of crappy HK guns before, so I am sure it is a fine weapon.
HK made the first polymer pistol, it's replacement would be todays USP. It is used by armies and LEOs around the world and has seen lots of combat. It is made at both US and Germany factories. I own a .40 and swear by it.
I doubt you'd find fault with either of them, beyond price.
I have a 45 hk compact love it. It shoots real soft some how, it has this bushing thing on the recoil spring. Love my glocks and will buy more but I am very glad I'm in the hk world
Well, I have the HK 45C and like it a lot---I also own a USPc, but in 9mm---both are high-quality guns, but I prefer my newer P2000 9mm over the USPc because it is fully ambi and a bit sleeker. I don't think you could go wrong with any of them---in fact, the real problem is HKs are addicting---you could easily end up with several more---ask me how I know...
Why go w compact ? They are many things but compact is not one of them. I have the USP C in 45 and I really like it.
The newer models tried to address some of the earlier models shortcoming which are predominately cosmetic. Newer models can accept swop mag w,their big brothers, sights, etc.
Controls on USP were larger and grip angle was after 1911.
The still need to work on streamlining design but Lord knows the price could be more reasonable. I prefer the full size model.
Note: Rails on USPs are not std and you'll have to buy adapter to fit accessories. PIA (unless you buy overpriced HK products) hopefully, they fixed that on newer models.
