Hit A Gun Show, Scored 7 AR 30 Rd ClipsXXX er a Mags

Big show, 100 plus tables.

Walked away with 7 - 30 rd AR mags, one stamped Colt, for $130. I feel in this climate, I did real good. I could get that back on gun list selling three of them, and making twenty bucks, and still have four cmags.

I am going to keep them all. I will be fastening two sets of three together, as pictured, and keeping the Colt mag unadulterated. Lol

Some tables had AR clips for $80 each! Yikes!

.22 ammo was going for five bucks, a box of fifty. Best price I saw. Another table had bricks of 550 rounds for $60 ! When I was a kid, it was always $5.00 a brick! Who is going to pay that? Wal-Mart still gets it in at about $25 a brick. Hit and miss finding it.

Also scored a machine gun reflex sight.

Largest sight of this type, I have ever seen. Lens is 66mm x 55mm. HUGE !

Works great on my wife's AR that has a flat top receiver and an iron gas block site. Most scopes do not work well with that combo, in fact, the rationale of Colt selling a rifle that way is beyond me. Came with a detachable handle.

This site makes it possible to add some sweet optics to her rifle. And we can use it on the AR pistol as well. Must have been to several shows, because I talked him down from $120, to $60 and a new battery.

Who says there are no deals at gun shows?

You guys remember something called the Gay 90's? As in 1890's?

The Gay of yesteryear is different than the Sanfransico treat of today. Agreed? Today, holler into a crowd of men, lets do something gay, and start running. Lol

Today, put twenty people in front of a table, with magazines and stripper clips on it, and shout out, someone toss me a clip, and watch what comes flying through the air. Bet five bucks, it would not be a stripper clip.

Clip, magazine, big deal.

I do think teaching people where to rest their finger on a firearm you do not attend to shoot, is a matter of safety. I do think teaching people gun safety is important.

Making a dogmatic differentiation between the names, clips and magazines in 2013 is pretty much nit picky, I told you so, kids games. IMHO.

99 people out of 100, refer to magazines made to fit guns, as clips. I am not bothered by the sliding of the English language in relation to this.

Another example, dating in the 50's was one soda and two straws at the drug store soda fountain. Today, dating, refers to rubbing nasties.

So once upon a time, gay people dating, ment, a boy and a girl laughing at the soda fountain.

Today, magazines, as well as clips, brings to mind, one thing in the gun world.

Did see a 5 round mag at Sportsman's Warehouse today, the truck did not arrive. It broke down somewhere in Colorado, from what they said. The 16 AR's are already reserved for those that waited outside since 0200 in the morning.

I picked up 3 5.56 20 rd packs and some 12 gauge ammo. Again it is bare!

Squawk and billyjoe are in the right for correcting you. There's no harm in what they did. Is there a problem with you calling an item by its proper name? Just because wolf Blitzer says it doesn't mean you all have to say it. I won't correct some lady in line at the 7/11 while she shares her opinion to her friend but I don't see any reason why one shouldn't be corrected on a firearms forum!! Perhaps you can be a bit more thick skinned and not feel insulted by it.

In that vein, you got a "machine gun" reflex sight as well, huh?!
