Lil history on me. Somewhere about 12-15 years ago and earlier, ex-wife reasons. I didn't have the ability to explore firearms. Always interested, but "restricted"..... Not times have changed. That restriction was lifted. Now I'm struggling to pace myself. I want one of everything. Lol... I've learned I want quality for sure. Polymer is ok. But a solid chunk of metal feels better to me. Maybe that why I like 1911 and wheel guns.. Oh a new thread coming..

No sir.. I enjoy rifles to. AR, got it one. Bolts, I got one too. I was saving for a MPA BA in 6.5 creedmoor in gun metal. I like taking time to do precision shots, or so I've learned. AR is cool. First time I shoot one, I had to get one. Then I wanted to try BA. I bought a cheap BA. I like it. I got a T/C compass in 6.5 creedmoor to get familiar with the round. But I can't stop impulse buying pistols. Lol.. I dont believe I'm the only one.. So long guns, I like them too.

Research Swedish M96 rifles. Including the FSR and CG63 target rifles.
6.5X55mm. I am selling off many of my babies.

No idea if it is for sale anywhere today- but i have a candidate for you- about the ultimate in historical 1911s.

A number of years ago, was contacted by a friend of an elderly gent who was trying to get an appraised value of his issue 1911A1. From when he was in the Navy. Way back when, the Navy often marked small arms with the name of the ship they were assigned to- and they were drawn by members of the crew as needed. He had been detailed to shore patrol duty, drew a .45 from the arms locker- and was ashore, having policed up the last of the Saturday night drunks from Hotel Street in Honolulu. He was sitting in Honolulu having breakfast that Sunday morning- 7 December 1941. His ship- marked on the frame of his .45- was the USS Arizona.

After reading through this thread a couple of times, it seems to me that the OP actually wants a famous gun that has been used to DO something, other than simply 'belong' to somebody.

Like Jack Ruby's revolver - good pics of him using it on LHO to use as a back-up picture in the show box.

Or maybe the Carcano allegedly used by LHO to assassinate the President?

    Who knows?

    By now, I admit that I don't.

If it was never fired but had some history to it, I'd still be interested.
