High-Point Carbines...legal in CA?

    I have seen them for sale at Turner's. $299 and no accessories.

    From what I understand, Hi-Point carbines are not classified as an assault rifle. It may have some features of an assault rifle but it is a carbine shooting a pistol bullet. I think your safe in that regard.

    Thanks guys. You're right, Turners sells them although I just called down there and they wanted $500.00 for the .45 model. :eek:

    You might want to shop around.
    MSRP on the most loaded up model is only $449. The cheapest version is $318 (MSRP). $500 for a Hi-Point ought to be considered theft. Unless they throw in a case of ammo or something like that.
