Hello,

I don't own a gun yet but am very close to buying one. I'm leaning for the Remington 870 Shurshot. Has anyone ever fired off the Shurshot stock? I can't find opinions on the Shurshot anywhere, please help me decide. I know best way is to shoot it myself...just looking for more experienced opinions on the newest model 870's. I've heard the newest models have jamming issues. Thanks.

870

Helloooooooooo Mr. Wilson
So I Have an 870 set up for home defense. Great shotgun. Shoots well. I chose the 870 synthetic seven shot because of the larger shell capacity. Then I changed the stock to a folding pistol grip so it would be easier to manuver in my RV. Added a tact. light on the front and it's a great home /RV defense set-up. I guess it all depends what you want the gun for, defense or hunting/trap. Another good thing about the 870 is there is a lot of after market accessories. You can change the stock add mag extensions, or shell holders.
have fun with it

Thanks

Yeah thanks for the information and welcoming. I need to just hold them and feel them out. I don't have enough money for a HD shotgun AND a hunting shotgun. I need one that can satisfy both, mainly hunting since I highly doubt I'll ever need to use it for home defense. What about the Benelli Supernova, you guys heard any good things about that gun. It's between that or the Rem 870. Any thoughts? This forum is bad *** by the way...gun talk whenever I want :)

That's a great thought on not needing for home defense.:D I live in a low crime farming town, where everyone knows your name, but the chance of home defense is always there. If, from what I know,(little) you are thinking about a Binelli, chances are, you can swing the $ for two Model 500 Moss. One to hunt, one to trick up for defense.
