I just bought my 5th Colt 1911; a Gold Cup Trophy. It was selling for $999 but I talked him down to $899. It helped that I gave him about $100 in factory Federal Premium .410 Handgun 000 Buck. I sold my stupid mistake-purchase Taurus Judge a few weeks ago and don't plan on buying a 410 in the future. So, bye-bye useless .410 ammo.

I changed the grips (it came with those Colt wrap-around pachmayr-like grips) and put in a Chip McCormick Powermag. And she is GTG.

I took one pic with the flash to show the wood grain in the walnut grips:

It has everything I need and nothing I don't. The two best features are no FLGR and no holster shredders.

Sharp looking GC. Just take your time when putting in the slide stop. I'd hate to see an idiot mark on that pretty little pony! :D

They are Walnut 1918 Double Diamond Colt Grips with a Pearce finger groove insert.
