Always wanted a leaver action and this thing looks like all kinds of fun. Anyone have any experience with one?

You'll want to reload for that one. Awesome gun.

18" barrel is pretty short. She'll buck and kick and holler loud.

So you're saying my wife won't ask to shoot it, any other good things you can say about it!

Tried one really didn't like the tube load. Bought a Rossi for half the price

I have been very happy with it. Paid less than 400 for it at academy. Cleanest factory gun I have ever torn down.

I do not see that Rossi makes a lever gun in .45-70

As for the Henry? There must be a bunch of unused space in that mag tube if it only holds 4 rounds. My Marlin Guide gun holds 4 and the mag tube is just over half length

After shooting Robos Marlin I was lucky enough to have my wife buy me one.. Fantastic gun!!! Not familiar with the Henry but I have a marlin model 94 and Chaparral arms 1873 both in 38/357 and love them both.

Henry makes a great rimfire but a 45/70? Hope they are made a LOT better than the 22's-

The Browning Mdl. 1886 45/70 was made without the safety. These are very fine rifles.
