Henry 22 Magnum Scope Mount Help?

2800 Views 4 Replies 4 Participants Last post by  HOSSFLY
Well, I bought myself a Henry 22 magnum Lever action and I wanted
some help. I had been trying to zero in my scope and noticed today
the scope base seems loose even thou I tightened the screws. Someone help me please. I was told that one drop of Blue Loctite on each of the 2 screws threads would fix this problem. Is this correct?

It should help, are you using black machine screws?

I'm reading that screws are tight while bottomed out but scope base still loose?
If screw it tight but base still loose you sure don't want to loctite it. That won't help- Mabe a very small washer but i'd say----
Either wrong screws, stripped threads or wrong base-

Henry's have a dovetail groove mount if I remember right. Are your ring the correct size for your scope?
