I just bought a Ruger GP100 Wiley Clapp with a 3" bbl. What type of holster should I use for concealed carry? And what company should I get it from?

Excellent choice of firearm. I want one but can't have it in my state.
I'd probably look into a desantis for it.

Congratulations on your purchase!!! I've heard great things about Ruger wheel guns, but as yet haven't had the pleasure of shooting one.

Are you wanting IWB, OWB, ankle, pocket, colon, appendix, or whatnot carry? Do you prefer kydex or leather? Or a hybrid?

I don't know if they make one for your Ruger, but I have an Oldfaithful holster for my S&W M&P9c. Its a hybrid IWB holster that won't break the bank. Very good quality, very good warranty, good price tag. If they don't have one pre-made, you can buy a "you mold it" kit and I guarantee you can get it right for the Ruger. I think they're $28 for that particular kit.

That's a question whose answer would vary from individual to individual. If it were me, I would look into a Galco ISB holster.

After trying out a few holsters, I've settled on the Galco King Tuk. It just works for me. Congrats on the Ruger. I used to have a Security Six back in the day. It was a great gun.

Thanks for all the suggestions! I'm thinking about a owb in either leather holster or hybrid

I would just get a Blackhawk loop type holster made for a Kel Tec P 3AT. The loop is large enough to cover the trigger on your GP100. You can position the gun anywhere IWB. i use one to carry my dan wesson 15-2 with a 10" barrel. It's not often I carry the 15-2 but sometimes you need a real gun. Like when you have a dispute with someone who is not going to consider a pistol if things get out of hand.

I prefer hard plastic holsters for owb carry. Owb your pretty open for carry holsters. I'm not a fan of iwb stuff. Just personal pref. I spend a lot of time in vehicles iwb makes it hard to get to the gun or reholster if you take it out while driving.
