My Ford 9N stalled a couple of months ago and I havent been able to get it started...
Theres gas getting to the carb, and the plugs are getting spark... But it wont start, not even a sputter..

It was running beautifully until it stalled, but now nothing???

A IH wouldnt leave me like this... :(

Out of GAS ?...............LOL, no really plugged fuel line, filter, does it have a sediment bowl could be any one of those things............If it`s not getting gas to the carb, it has to be between it and the tank......

is it possible that the timing chain/belt is no longer doing its job?
Leaving valves open when they should be closed?

Take air filter out and try it . Then , check rotor cap for green tarnish , then when you turn key to run , listen to hear fuel pump kick in , then.........?

If you are getting spark, I would look at the carb. Just because gas is getting to the carb does not mean it is geting OUT of the carb. The crappy Alcohol enriched gasoline of today will gum up over the winter. May be time for a carb kit. The 9n is pretty simple. Not alot to go wrong.

Do they still make Carbs.........?

My Chevy truck has injectors and a carb looking thing , but all it really does is regulate air..?

Remove a couple of spark plugs, and spritz 3-4 drops of gas into the cylinder, replace plug, try to start. If it fires up, and dies out, fuel is not getting to the intake manifold. If it will not fire with fuel and spark IN the cylinder, you have other problems.

Is it possible the timing chain was worn and may have jumped a few teeth when it stalled?

9N Ford engine does not have a timing chain or belt, it is geared, you need to check the compression & that is with all 4 spark plugs out...............

the carbs on the 9n and 8n tractors are notorious for causing fuel problems. as suggested, just because there's fuel getting to the carb, doesn't mean it's making into he intake. also the carb on those tractors is a downdraft style. take the carb off and check the float valve. with the crappy gas quality these days, it's probably gunked up. if the float is gunked up, it will never get to the intake.

Choke it and crank it for a few seconds then see if the plugs are wet. Is magneto snapping when you are trying to start it. Check the air cleaner to make sure it is getting enough air.

The magneto not snapping would not cause to stall. Also the coil in the magneto may be bad, the spark might not be strong enough.

As others have said though, I would bet on the carb needing a rebuild and a good cleaning.

Spray starting fluid into the air intake when you hit the starter. If it fires - it is not getting fuel.
