So may be stupid question, but I can't get the fore end onto the barrel-breech on this damn Benelli.:mad::mad: The instructions say to slide it over the barrel guide ring, then snapped onto the barrel. Sounds like a walk in the park right?

Problem is the freaking fore end is WAY too tight to just be snapped on. What am I doing wrong?

    Benelli semi auto ?

OK there is a technique to this and if it makes you feel better I also got it wrong initially. Make sure you are trying to re-attach the fore end the right way round not as stupid as it sounds, apply a slight twisting action which will help, however when the gun is very new a spray of light oil will work wonders. The procedure is easier if you are sitting down and you brace the butt end of the gun between you legs (God this is starting to sound like a porn film script), be careful once the fore end slips over the magazine it will collide with the action if you are using excessive force. The barrel can then be located and the three components locked together with the knurled nut.

    I hope this helps.

Yeah the fore end only goes over the barrel guide ring one way. This thing is killing me. I haven't messed with it since my Dad got it new 5 years ago. The gun has never been shot only assembled, dis-assembled for shipping and now here I am.

    Anyone? ? ?

Thanks guys, got her up and running. For your help I promise a range report, including several of the chokes, etc.

    And anything else I could provide. . . ;)
