help ID these rifles

    friend of mine wants to find out what they are and possibly sell them. i asked for pics of any stamps/markings. she said that only 1 had a serial number nothing else.

    they one on the right looks like an enfield

    from what i could find online the one on the right looks like a lee enfield no 5 jungle carbine. now to search out the other

    the other appears to be a swiss model 1889 rifle

    The gun on the right is a standard, not jungle, British SMLE that has had the stock sporterized. The other is definately a Swiss Rubin but instead of an 1889 I believe it is a model 1911.

    i went through a couple of my books, i believe you are right though i could only come up with a brief discription

    Right - British Enfield No.4 MK1. The front forearm looks sporterized.
    Left - Swiss Schmidt-Rubin K11. The stock looks to be refinished.

    defiantly a sported No4mk1/? and a K31. Your No4 should have an FTR/FTF stamp on the left side.
