I have two EAA .45 pistols, both bought new, in the all steel Wonder finish. One is a compact, one a full size. Between the two I have had seven frame and slide cracks (compact- four frame cracks and one slide crack, full size- one frame and one slide crack). These happened at low round counts, approximately 3000 rounds shooting standard velocity 185 grain ammo. There were also corrosion issues with the Wonder finish necessitating hard chroming of the pistols. EAA replaced the compact's slide under their warranty but refused to do anything with the other frames and slide, saying the hard-chroming voided their warranty. While they were fun to shoot and were quite accurate, their failure at a low round count and poor customer service were unacceptable.
Also having a CZ-75 (I have the compact) I would have to agree with some of the above posters about buying the CZ-75. It's a great pistol- accurate, reliable and feels great in the hand. Good luck.
