Hunting yesterday and my shells where not cycling correctly so I took my remington 11-87 premier apart just to find out the magazine tube was half an inch further out then normal, gave it a gentle tug and it came all the way out of the reciever.

Is this something I can fix or does a gunsmith have to do it? It looks like it was maybe silvered or clued in?

    Thanks.

Remington recommends returning to the factory for this repair.

i would return it to Remington if under warranty, or find a good gunsmith if it wasn't. that way it would be repaired properly. improper repairs, or shoddy workmanship isn't something desired in your firearms as is can make them unreliable at best and very dangerous in the worst way.
