Sorry I haven't introduced myself earlier, (like 2 months ago).....I've been
out of town at several shooting events. Yes, I'm an avid competitive and shooting enthusiast. I'm a member of Albany Rifle and Pistol Club, where I compete in: High Power & Garand matches, Sub-Machine Gun, Assault Shot-gun, Light & Heavy Battle Rifle, and until the last two months....1000 yard
matches in the .50 cal. class. Not to leave out pistol, I do shoot Practical, some IPSC, and three gun, along with (let's see how good you really are with a pistol) IMSHA matches at Douglas Ridge out in Estacada, Or. where they have built a 1000yd. range. I haven't shot an event on that course yet.
I've had on occasion, had to be my own gun smith and have done a few
mods. to modify or fix my own wepons, ie: file and fit. I don't go over my head on this, I do know a couple of smiths and lathe men, and I know a good Tig-n-Mig smith....Of course you all know about that....Machine Guns are a bit
finicky. Timing is everything... Two weeks ago I shot my first sanctioned
1000yd. match in the Tri-cities area in Washington, and I've alot of work to do, especially in the bench gear dept. I bought a good rest, but the butt end
still needs attention. I joined th Fifty Cal. shooters Assn. to have the scores
recorded. I sure met a great new bunch of shooters, and had a great time.
