The distances depend on the caliber that we are teaching, but let's say for example, the Professional Marksmen .50 Caliber:
The course is broken down into three days: Day 1 is classroom instruction on Ballistics, Marksmanship, Optical Adjustments, and Maintenance. We also sight in our rifles for the next day's shooting. Day 2 is shooting on our 1000 yard Known Distance Range. We go from 200, 400, 600, 800, and 1000 yards. This day is where we put into practice the things we learned the day prior. Day 3 is Unknown Distance shooting out to 1800 yards. We have targets placed at various distances and you will have to set your own adjustments and consistently hit them.
The Professional Marksmen .30 Caliber course shooting distances will not be as far out, but the course content is similar. The classroom instruction for every course includes a huge amount of information on the calibers on Internal and External Ballistics, Marksmanship, Optical Adjustments, and of course Maintenance. The whole point of our courses is that you leave with a strong foundation in long range shooting so you can then go home an continue on with this discipline on your own. It's also a nice vacation away from our day to day lives. It's more of an educational vacation though.
