Hey guys....I am still stuck on this fkn 30-30.....I just need to get the barrel off and it wont budge. The barrel is cracked so I dont give a damn what happens to it but I want the receiver in good shape. It is a 03030 model 30-30 I am almost wondering if the barrel was pressed in?? Is this possible? any help would be appreciated

Do not know of a marlin that is a Model 30-30. DO know of a Model 336 that is in caliber 30-30. IIRC, the barel is threaded, but if it has been on there a while, can be a chore to remove. It DOES require some tools that a hobbyist does not usually have- barrel wrench, and an action block for a vise. Without the blocks, you will likely warp the receiver. if you DO have them, try soaking the joint overnight in Kroil, and heat the reciever (not the barrel) with a hair dryer- trying to get reciever, but not barrel, to expand. Me, I chicken out, and take my rebarrels to my friendly smith- who charges about $35 if I supply parts. You DO have a set of headspace guages for the new barrel, right? If not, you might seriously consider subbing this task out to someone with the tools.

A pipe wrench and a bench vise isn't going to cut it....

FYI: The red vise seen here served ONLY to prop up the parts for the picture. The barrel vise is bolted directly to the work bench in actual use. :)

    By the way....
I believe what you have there is a model "C"3030 that is a variation of a model 30A or 30AS, which may or may not have been produced for Coast to Coast Firearms, by Marlin.

A replacement barrel can be found here:
    MARLIN | C3030 | ITEM#809140 | e-GunParts.com

    For what it's worth....
