I just got my grubby paws on a new RIA Tactical in 10mm! I took a gamble on ordering one sight unseen. These are still relatively hard to come by. I'll probably clean it up and fondle it for a while as I put a high price tag on it. Then after I've sufficiently drooled overt it, I'm bring the price down to normal and move on to the next gun. It's gonna be hard not shooting it though.

I'll clean it up and try to get some photos and a little review up by the weekend.

I was just at the range w/ a bag o 10's.I've been mulling over some EAA's,I've read about the RIA 10,but haven't seen a range report on it.The only RIA I have is a mil-spec in 38 super that is merely ok at best.I've been eyeing a 6" Hunter from eaa, what ya think?

There is a really good two-part review and range report on GlockTalk forum and also several threads at the 1911 Forum. Not trying to steer business to those forums, just the specific reviews.

My first impression of the gun is that it looks much better than the photos you see online. It's coated in oil so I'll have to get that cleaned off for some better photos.

Sweet! Those are the best grips I have ever seen on a RIA out of the box.

Cheaper Than Dirt had them for $599 initially. But now that all the supply had been bought up and demand still high, they are selling for various prices above that number now.

Those are actually VZ grips. As far as I know, the 10mm is the only model that comes with them.

    Dango! LOL

Nice gun. Thanks for pic and the new holiday! Gotta check out 10mm in a 1911 -- somehow that makes sense. Is the frame the same as usual? Different mags!?

Surprised a .38 Super RIA is only "OK."
