Guns that you like, but will never own?

I saw a thread awhile back that ask about guns that you would never own and decided to start a similar one after my latest trip to the gun shop. But rather than guns that you hate, guns that you love.

I always wanted an M1 carbine for the historical significance, but after handling a few came to the conclusion that they are just too short and too small for me to shoot with any kind of comfort or enjoyment.

The only "rules" for this thread are to be about the guns themselves and less about their legality, so don't put something like "A howitzer 'cause they won't let me".

This is going to be a difficult topic, then. If you take away the cost or legality issues there really isn't any gun that I could say that I like but will never own.

What the heck, let's make it more interesting and toss out the cost thing.

In that case, an MG42, cause i can't afford it.:D

    Btw, I love that signature.

Blaser R8. I would not have the nerve to get it out of the safe in fear of scratching it.

+1 on the MG42. Also a STG 44 or the ones originally stamped "MP" 44.

I'll have to think, as it's a looooong list

Ma Duce. How cool would that be on a coyote?Fully automatic and everything.

A little more in the realm of reality, I'd like an original 1903 Springfield. I'm not much into mil-sup but this is the one started it all.

    Or maybe one of these...

Bushmaster 50 cal. Awesome gun doesn't kick nearly as bad as a Barrett. But at around $7 a trigger pull nevermind the $10k + purchase price I won't be affording one. Luckily I can go down to the club Sundays after noon and hang with Dusty and shoot his.

Wife won't even let me get a new Winchester. All sorts of stipulations when I want a new gun. "What are you going to do with that? Do you need another gun? Can we afford it?" Silly questions like that.

Are they hard to find? I don't want one some jack wagon has "sporterized." I want an all original.

Adolph's Walther... rumored to be the one he commited suicide with. George Patton's ivory handled 357... John Wayne's Winchester (a 16" 94 carbine in 30/30... I think. Please correct me if I'm wrong) that he used in most of his flicks. One can dream can't they??

A wilson Combat 1911. Any thing I buy at that price comes with a steering wheel.

Rare and expensive. I was just reading about one that sold for $8500. :( Neat guns though.
