I was just curious who here attends the gun shows and what kind of deals you see. The last show I was at had a few good deals like the Ruger LCP for 299! Which I thought was a good price  and even seen a Walther PK380 that a friend of mine bought for $340 if my memory serves me correctly:confused:

I quit going to gun shows a long time ago. I have yet to see a show that had deals anywhere near what the local shops are offering. The one benefit is you do get to look at and handle a wide variety of stuff. The only purchases I ever made at gun shows were from private sellers walking around...

I go to check out new things and if you want ammo in bulk you can save on shipping charges. Also I find that you can get the soft cases very cheap at gun shows vs in store prices.

I plan on getting some stuff for my 1858 New Army revolver.

I just love the variety and occassional bargain on things other than Guns.

There was a new Vendor at the last show promoting Power Bands. Has anyone seen these yet? Has a hologram that is "charged" and helps promote better health?

I go to the Indy 1500 regularly to check out the new items. As far as purchases go, Bulk ammo w/o shipping charges, holsters and cases, beef sticks, and the occaisional used firearm. I can order most firearms online cheaper even with shipping and transfer charges, especially new ones.

When possible. I feel it shows my support even if I don't buy anything.

I go to most shows around here, there are people I only see there. Seldom do you find a good deal on a gun but I'm always looking at used Leupolds, got my last 2-7 for $160.

I go. Just to see some new things and hang out and let my sons see different guns. I very rarely buy any guns because they are just not the deals they were five or ten years ago but I do go to about three a year out of about Ten local shows.

I stopped going several years back.
Bout the time they, T.P.T.B. ended the Pomona shows.
A friend took me up to Ontario a while back to a show.
    Never again.
I can buy beef jerky at my local market.
I can buy cheap jewelry at my local mall.
I can buy over priced “stuff” anywhere.
I can talk to fools just about anywhere.
    An example,
I have a small cartridge collection.
A cartridge I have been looking for,
    For some time,
A cartridge from the Dum Dum arsenal.
We passed a table of old cartridges,
My friend suggested I ask the guy at the table,
    One look at the guy,
    I thought, a waste of time…
    So my friend asked.
    Never mind the rest,

We left before security removed us.

OK, I know you can find a good deal, sometimes.
and you can meet some nice folks, sometimes.
But I can meet nice folks at the local coffee shop,
    when I ride the Sportster.

    Come to think about it.
The last good "Gun" show I attended,
    was at the S.O.F. convention.

I'm going to the Crossroads of the West gun show at Cashman Center in Las Vegas this weekend. I like it when the shows are at Cashman because it's a bigger venue than the casino convention rooms. The last one I attended was interesting and there were some really good deals on bulk ammunition. I also picked up a range bag and a couple of soft-side rifle bags for my AR-15 and AK-47. All the bags were priced less than the same items sold at local gun shops.

I honestly have never been to a gun show. I might go to one just to see what I can find but it seems like everytime one comes around the wife has something planned for that weekend. I think she's doing it on purpose.

The Saxet shows in Austin got to be price gouging festivals. Jewelry, Pokemon cards and beef jerkey took over. The owner was a great guy, with great principles, but the vendors wanted top dollar for their stuff.

The libtards in Austin have driven the shows out of town now. We have not had one in months. I have to go to San Antonio or Temple (once a year show) or bite the bullet and go to Houston (huge shows there).

I go to every show that comes to Grand Junction. I like to show my support. I agree that you can find a lot of idiots selling at them. It is also a great place to hear the latest totally stupid and unbelievable gun control rumor. But it is usually a fun time. If nothing else it is a good chance to laugh at one of the "experts".
