Anyone out there name their guns? I call my 870 (LARGE SARGE)
Yeah...I'm a nerd like that, from left to right...Mallory, Mickey, Cliff, Norm, Pete and Dark Stanley...
Haha I love it. Nice collection by the way.
I thought guns are supposed to have girl names, like boats and cars.
the only gun I names was my Mosin aka good lookin same name I called my girl friend, I keep calling it that because the stick is so beaten up that it's really pretty ugle but god it still shoots like a dream,
Fenrir, my 460 Rowland Colt Government.
(In Norse mythology, Fenrir is a monstrous wolf. Or the Norse God of mischief.)
Canebrake, my Colt Defender.
(Crotalus horridus, the timber [canebrake] rattlesnake.)
MAGNUM P.I.G my AK45 - 458SOCOM
Thanks Jon, I feel like it's just a foot in the door...
Mr. Cane, 1-Do you take your own pics? (Looks right per-fessional...insert southern twang) Always great visuals...and... 2-grips, your own work? Been eyeballin' a Colt Gold Cup but not impressed with the factory grips, do I need to kill a snake or two?
1. Yes, thanks

That's my Defender on his home page.
Just remember when you cover 1911 grips with leather it will add quite a bit of bulk. The first set I got were a standard set of Officer grips and the gun felt too wide for my taste.
I got a set of thin grips and sent them to Mel for the next set. Timber rattler was then used and my Defender picked up the name with the Colt serpent C. Leather covered thin grips are about the same size as standard.
Got it, thanks much...
MY guns already HAD names. Like Colt, Winchester, Remington, Browning......
Never name anything you may have to eat young man.
Very true. Hope that doesnt happen.
I call my 870 Emily...and she's my only gun With a name.
I would post a picture but I don't allow her to be photographed
Yeah, my sister named a cow once. A few days later the thing broke two legs in a fall. We got some pretty good meat out of her though.
I'm going to shoot this gun some day. It's on my bucket list.
My friend names all her livestock. Porterhouse, Whopper, Big Mac, Tenderloin, and Burger are her cows. The bull is named Roast. This Sunday, we will have Pork Chop for dinner. Or atleast a ham made from him. Yum!
I recall the old yarn. A cowboy was told by his doctor to eat more salads. Well if you know cowboys they eat only beef. The Old Puncher named a little red steer "Salad". The next visit to the doctor he was able to report that he was eating salad three times per day.
So she has two bulls! There must be a lot of fights! We had a bull one time that had a habit of fighting our biggest billy goat, and they weren't even the same species. The only gun name I will share is my 879, her name is Big Beulah. The rest are highly classified.
Momma always said , kill em with kindness. Meet My HK USP. 40, affectionately named "Kindness". And her big sister, "tha b!tch", Remington 870
Nope. Had 2 bulls. That's why we ate Pork Chop! Yum!
