    Greetings,

I have been looking around but I cannot find what the laws are in Alabama regarding magazine capacity. Any help would be very appreciated.

Ummm- could you be a bit more specific? Magazine capacity for WHAT?

ANd- you will find that most off the free states do not have limits on mag capacity other than some hunting weapons.

We believe in playing fair with the ducks, but not with the guy climbing in the window of your house.

Sorry- typo. Did not mean to type OFF the free states. Should have been OF the free states. Yes, meant as a verbal slam to some of the Northern Nanny States outlook on life, however, when you can't freaking spell OR type, it loses much of its panache! And spellcheck does not catch properly spelled wrong words.

However, to get back to your original question, for a handgun, no, I know of no restrictions on magazine capacity, etc in Alabama. To all the folks from CA and NY- Are you guys so shifty that your states don't trust you with a large magazine? :p

I guess we are,but then we're also shifty enough to practice tactical re-loads;)

AL is not a restrictive state. I carry a 1911 45acp there and it is legal. Mine uses 9 round mags and they are legal even in CA.

I'm from NJ, we have a 15 round limit...not that it would matter to you single stack 1911 guys...:p

Do not knock the 1911. It is God's chosen weapon.

Anyway, why have to shoot 15 rounds with an inferior gun when one round from a 1911 is sufficient?

You need to read the Gospel of John ver 1911

Police Officer: Why did you shoot him 6 times?

Guy: Because when I pulled the trigger the 7th time it just went click!
