Decided to do a follow-up poll to this post.
Thanks for participating-
I'd like to learn Italian. It's my family's native language and tradition is important to me.
I took 4 years of German in HS, and kind of wish I'd have paid more attention. I'd like to maybe take some classes on it to brush up, and be more fluent.
Been wantin to learn German, have uncle& cousins there
If there is a language out there that might surpass English as the world wide standard I believe it will be a Chinese dialect.
Gotta be Russian, for purely sentimental reasons
I did a beginners course at an adult ed centre years ago, and have been meaning to get into it again. Bit more challenging with a non-Latin alphabet, but no where near as mindbending as something like Chinese etc. An atonal language with 4 different definitions of a word depending on it's pitch? whoa lol
Hey who was the other member who voted Russian? Come on own up man
Arabic, it would be good to know what they were saying before they pull the pin. Even better to be able to express we are not the enemy.
Tagalog. My wife is a Filipina and I have a lot of in-laws in the Philippines.
GUN 'GOSPEL'-A great way to get the word out...
FELLAS (when I say that, I include the ladies, btw)-
There are NO answers to my other thread?
This is just a follow-up poll to the other (MAIN) one...but, thanks for voting.
Please, go back and read the first one, with the same title!
I would like to learn Russian. I like the way their alphabet looks and think it would be a neat language to learn.
I already have taught a lot of English to Spanish speakers. Part of living in Arizona.
I wouldn't mind learning Farsi; i worked with a lady from Iran & it sounded very interesting when she spoke Farsi on the 'phone. It would also be useful for freaking out strangers eavesdropping on cel calls in public places.
I doubt I will ever get motivated enough to do it though; one semester of Spainish was VERY challenging.
No hay blow da espa norte
San Miguel...Breakfast of Champions
Call me a jerk, but my standard answer is "gezundheit".
Sounds like the proper response to me...
Other: Klingon language appeals to me and maybe some Faringi if that goes well, because you never know when we will make first contact.
Epic fail on both.
Come live by me for a month. You'll pick it up, or completely go insane....
