I was wondering if anyone has built a discharge setup for discharging weapons after working on them. I have used the metal tube into a sand trap and also a water trap. Any ideals or suggestions would be great. I do some gunsmith work and not close to the range after so any help would be great.
    Thanks Greg

It work we have a 55-gallon drum on a stand at a 45% angle filled with sand bags to load and unload our weapons. It works great.

Some shops use heavy steel pipe about 8" to 12" diameter at about a 45 degree angle going into the ground. At the shop I worked for they had it installed when they built the building. We had padding on the inside for a short way so if the gun bumped the inside of the pipe it would not hurt the gun. The top was covered with a piece of rubber with a slit in it to help keep the noise and smoke in the tube.
